I am an experienced hair and makeup artist listed with the Texas Film Commission Directory. Licensed in 1970 as a Texas Barber and in 1974 as a Texas Cosmetologist. In 1973, I was employed as a stylist by Tommy and Kay Davis at their Mr.Tom’s Cutters salon, which they trained their stylists in advanced cutting techniques under Robert Pearson, Paul Mitchell, Maurice Tidy, and the Vidal Sassoon’s five-point cutting technique. My makeup technique training by Way Bandy and Stan Place, c. 1973-76. In 1975, I worked as an educator for Jeri Redding’s Jhirmack hair products.
Starting in 1980, I worked as a freelance hair/makeup artist for album cover photographer Tom Wright. I built and operated 12 salons in the Lubbock and Austin areas, produced in-salon and public educational classes/seminars in hair and makeup technique, and worked on various feature film productions and television programs as a hair/makeup artist.
